Graduate-Level Credit Available

Earn up to four graduate credits while you train.

Extend your training day into recognized graduate-level coursework through University of Massachusetts Global. Optional, affordable, and applicable to most professional development requirements.

From Dr. Hunter

Why I encourage teachers to pursue these credits.

One of the questions I get most often after a training day is whether teachers can earn graduate credit for the work. The answer is yes — and for many educators, it makes the difference between completing a training and walking away with a long-term professional advancement. Credits earned through these programs can apply toward salary lane changes, recertification requirements, and master's degree progress at most institutions.

The credits are completely optional. You don't have to pursue them to attend the training, and the day stands on its own. But if you're already going to spend a day building these skills, getting graduate-level recognition for the work is one of the easiest professional development wins available.

If you have questions about how credits would apply to your specific situation, reach out directly at hunter@ctetrainer.com or call (800) 555-0142. I'll help you think through it.

How it works

Three steps from training day to credit awarded.

It's straightforward — and we're here to help with any step.

Attend the training

Complete the on-site training day with your school or district. Registration forms for college credit are provided at the conclusion of the training.

2

Register & pay UMass Global

Submit the registration form and pay the additional credit fee directly to University of Massachusetts Global. (This fee is separate from your training cost.)

3

Complete the follow-up practicum

Apply what you learned in your classroom and complete the practicum within six months of the training. Credit is awarded upon completion.

Questions about credits

What educators ask most often.

Is the college credit included in the training cost?

No — college credit is optional and carries a separate fee paid directly to University of Massachusetts Global. The training fee covers the on-site training day and all training materials.

Will these credits transfer to my master's program or salary advancement?

In most cases, yes. UMass Global is WSCUC-accredited and credits typically transfer for salary advancement and recertification requirements. For master's program credit specifically, always confirm with your specific institution's registrar before enrolling.

What's the practicum, and how long does it take?

The follow-up practicum is a structured application of training concepts in your own classroom, documented with a written reflection. Most teachers complete it within 2-3 months of the training, but you have six months from the training date to finish.

Can I earn credits if my school doesn't book training for the full staff?

Credits are tied to attendance at an on-site training, which is typically booked by a school or district. If your school isn't planning to bring in a training, contact us directly — we can sometimes help connect individual teachers with nearby training opportunities.

What's the syllabus for each program?

Full syllabi are provided at the training. They detail the learning objectives, required practicum components, and assessment criteria for each program. If you'd like to see one ahead of time, email hunter@ctetrainer.com.
